Alexis Verbin, LCSW, LICSW at Wellcore Healing offers specialized online therapy for individuals residing in Denver, Boston, Burlington, Clearwater, and beyond!

WHAT IS

THERAPY?

Therapy is a structured, supportive process that helps individuals navigate emotional, psychological, and behavioral challenges.

Therapy is an opportunity to gain support in a safe space to explore thoughts as well as your feelings, gain self-awareness, and develop new effective coping strategies. Through therapy, you can identify unhelpful patterns, heal from past experiences, and work toward meaningful personal growth and well-being.

WHAT IS A

THERAPIST?

A therapist is a trained mental health professional who provides guidance, support, and evidence-based techniques to help individuals manage emotional and psychological difficulties.

Therapists create a nonjudgmental environment where clients can express themselves freely, work through challenges, and build the skills necessary for lasting change. At Wellcore Healing, I work as a therapist for high-achieving women, often in male dominated industries, who struggle with anxiety, imposter syndrome, people-pleasing, perfectionism, and burnout.

WHY CONSIDER

THERAPY?

Therapy can be a life-changing tool if you:

  • Feel overwhelmed by anxiety, imposter syndrome, perfectionism, stress, or grief & loss.

  • Struggle with self-doubt and constantly question your achievements.

  • Experience burnout and difficulty setting boundaries.

  • Want to heal from past wounds and develop a healthier mindset.

  • Are seeking a structured and supportive space to grow and evolve.

If you relate to any of these, therapy can help you regain control, build confidence, and foster resilience.

WELLCORE HEALING

THERAPY

APPROACH

I use evidence-based, trauma-informed methods tailored to your unique needs, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – CBT helps identify and reframe negative thought patterns that contribute to self-doubt, anxiety, perfectionism, imposter-syndrome, stress, and so forth. By developing healthier, more constructive ways of thinking, you can improve emotional regulation and develop practical coping strategies to navigate daily challenges.

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) – ACT encourages what we call psychological flexibility by helping you accept the more difficult emotions instead of just avoiding or suppressing them. Through mindfulness and values-based actions, ACT fosters a sense of resilience, allowing you to move forward despite uncertainty and discomfort.

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) – IFS explores the different “parts” of yourself that may hold conflicting emotions or experiences. By learning about and understanding, as well as integrating these parts with self-compassion, you can heal unresolved wounds, reduce inner turmoil, and foster a sense of balance and wholeness.

  • Mindfulness & Positive Psychology – Mindfulness techniques help you stay present and grounded, regulate stress, and enhance self-awareness. Positive psychology focuses on strengths, gratitude, and cultivating joy to promote emotional well-being. These approaches support sustainable mental wellness and greater overall life satisfaction.

Can therapy actually help address my mental health or life stressors?

Yes, as therapy provides a supportive and structured environment to explore the underlying causes of imposter syndrome, anxiety, self-esteem, perfectionism, burnout — while learning effective tools and techniques to manage or heal from the presenting stressor(s). Often times, people start therapy for one concern and end up healing from other stressors not even on their radar. A lot of clients leave therapy feeling empowered and proud of themselves.

How long does it take to see results?

Every person’s journey is different, but many clients can notice positive changes within a few sessions as they learn new tools and insights. Long-term progress often depends on your goals, the depth of your challenges, and your commitment to the process.

Can therapy help with work-related stress?

Yes! The great thing about therapy is that it allows you to develop strategies to manage pressures in multiple areas of your life, set healthier boundaries, and navigate your professional life with greater ease and confidence. One of my specialties and true passions is to empower female leaders, small business owners, and women working in male-dominated industries (e.g., technology, law, science, finance) who are navigating work-related stressors.

What should I expect in my first session?

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and explore your goals for therapy. We’ll discuss your experiences with anxiety, self-esteem, imposter syndrome, perfectionism, and any other challenges you’re facing, and what you hope to gain from our work together. This first session is an excellent opportunity to set the foundation for a collaborative, personalized approach.
