ALEXIS VERBIN, LCSW, LICSW
Hello Everyone! My name is Alexis and I am so excited you are starting (or) continuing your path to Mental Wellness!
For over a decade, I have had the honor of working alongside thousands of unique individuals from all walks of life. My journey to becoming a psychotherapist started in Arizona, took a detour in London, England, was solidified in Massachusetts, and has now expanded to Colorado.
I have had the opportunity to serve as a Director of Clinical Services, Clinical Social Work Consultant, Supervisor, Psychotherapist (individual, group, family, and couples), Out-of-Home Consultant, and Intensive Case Manager. I have enjoyed working in a variety of clinical settings that have helped inform my practice including: a holistic mental health nonprofit, integrated primary care, healthcare IT, schools, residential facilities, and community mental health organizations. If you are interested in learning more about my education, clinical training, clinical experience, research, licensure, memberships, and volunteer work, please scroll to the bottom of the page.
In 2017, I took a leap of faith by moving West in search of more sunshine. It is here in Colorado where I followed my heart and started WELLCORE in order to empower women during their mental wellness journey.
I TOO AM HUMAN
My innate passion for supporting others came from my mother and best friend. As someone who lost their mom at a younger age, I understand what it is like to feel emotional, physical, and spiritual grief, depression and anxiety. During my own therapeutic journey, I learned how to work through pain, heal on many levels, and move forward after losing the most significant person in my life.
Sharing this piece of myself is my way of saying I too am human just like everyone else with life events, the good, the bad, the ugly. I have learned over the years how to find meaning in all experiences, work through life’s challenges, heal from the inside out, and grow as a human. I believe personal evolution is a continuous process necessary to enjoy life to the fullest and reach one’s highest potential.
I feel privileged and honored to help others reach their full potential as I join their journey of healing & transformation.
AND A WOMAN
I am dedicated to helping other female professionals feel empowered to face toxic societal messages head on that reinforce how “women should put themselves second and sacrifice their own needs for the sake of others.”
As a professional female and therapist, I believe in the importance of leading by example. With that said, I am committed to working on showing up for my mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual self so I can continue to help you show up for yourself!
“You can’t pour from an empty cup.” Get excited to prioritize YOU!
